Thanks @Welshpoppy and @easyrider. Legs and especially R calf still reeling from run so unlikely to be any running for the next week or so. Not that there will be any time to for next 4 days. Arrive LHR 7am tomorrow, first meeting 11am... Depending on legs (& weather!) may try and fit in a light jog on Saturday morning before Tokyo flight. |

@Welshpoppy oh that's not good news - take care @easyrider sounds like things are going really well for you - that is good news!.. Mind the shock of UK weather doesn't detract from progress @NZD that was a long time on feet - and moving swiftly too - so it's not surprising your legs are still feeling it. However a light jog may help remove lactic build up and speeded recovery - but only a light jog!! Sitting on a plane for hours with already stiff legs is not something to look forward to 3.45 slow miles this morning as I laid a trail for the Hash this evening so it will be a double session day Can't say that bending down every 30m or so to lay the trail improved my knee which felt fine at the outset Wordle in four |

just avoided the rain last night and had pleasuer in watching the assembled throng tackle my trail which, some claimed, erroneously, was all uphill! An easier 2-5 miles for me as I short cutted some bits. An even breakier morning today than yesterday with some freezing fog to add to the gloom as I eased round 2.9 miles in 33 min with HR 129/138. A month ago that would have floored me Wordle in five |

sun shining now of course, but not on the Sun newspaper group! Whilst not having too much empathy with the royal family as such I was delighted that Harry pursued the newspaper right up to the steps of the HIgh Court and has wrung an abject apology from them exposing the full criminality of their past actions. At a time of immense pressure on reliable news reporting both here and overseas it is one small step... |

All sounds good, @Torque Steer. I have had a bit of an interest in the phone hacking scandal: in my early days of teaching I used to teach Mark Lewis who represented the Dowler family. @NZD: I would be most disappointed if your legs didn't ache after the half! Hope that your trips are going to plan! parkrun on Saturday before departing? The last few runs have only been around a mile; doubled that to two today on jaded legs after a decent stretching and strengthening session yesterday. Some of the runs have been in the semi dark after work, hence the lack of distance. The weather hasn't helped either. Permanently grey now that the ice has gone. Oh for some apricity! Wordle in four today, six yesterday and three the day before. |

@alehouse - you will get your reward in heaven for setting him on the right path:-) It is still a pity t hat they were unable to get the hierarchy of the newspaper onto the stand and under oath- would have loved to see them squirm. Now, of course, the MSM is almost irrelevant in shaping opinion and we are faced with even worse abuses on line. Are you working full time at the present? Hopefully we will see some more daylight shortly! I have adjusted my morning saunter to a bit later as it was getting dangerous seeing, or rather not seeing, variations in the surfaces in the dark/gloom. Having said that it was almost clear this morning as I did a low impact 4 miles in 47:45 (11:55m/m) with HR 125/143 over a hilly route. Wordle in three |

@Torque Steer The winds have started early here along with the rain. Good job I am not running as yet day 16 but feel I am on the mend as two days have walked 3 miles. Had my flu jab yesterday. I feel a run will be tried over weekend Stay safe all with this winds! |
