I’ve been invited for a flu jab which surprised me because I’m under 65 and not a high risk case.

I think we're all getting free flu jags up here in Scotland. But last year I was able to wangle the Covid jag too, on basis of being carer for my mum. But they're not doing that this year, according to website: Option Who should select this? W24 Flu ONLY 18 years and over People aged 18 to 64 who are most at risk from flu Carers (including unpaid and young carers) Household contacts of someone with a weakened immune system Poultry workers *You may also be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine if you have a condition or are pregnant. Please check NHS inform for more information. W24 18 years and over People aged 65 and over People aged 18 to 64 most at risk from Flu and COVID-19 Pregnant women aged 18 years and over, at any stage of their pregnancy (first, second or third trimesters). W24 12-17 years People aged 12-17 years most at risk from Flu and COVID-19 Pregnant women aged 17 years and under, at any stage of their pregnancy (first, second or third trimesters). *Most school children aged 12-17 will be offered flu vaccination at school W24 75 years and over ONLY People aged 75 years and over W24 Frontline HSCW Frontline health and social care workers (HSCW) W24 Non-Frontline HSCW Non-frontline NHS workers Doesn't format very well, but first category (including carers) is for Flu only. The other categories are Covid and Flu, but is only older, specific vulnerabilities and pregnant. Shame, I wanted a Covid jag! G |
