Thanks again to everyone for all the good wishes. It's brought tears to my eyes reading all these wonderful posts.
Greppers. I had an AF episode a couple of years ago, middle of the night Christmas night. I was a bit concerned and phoned 111. They told me to go into hospital. They put it down to the alcohol I'd consumed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I don't drink so much any more.
However, when I saw the cardiologist a few days later, he said I needn't have gone into hospital, it would have sorted itself out. If it happened again, only to go in if it hadn't settled down after 24 hours. Also, as long as I didn't do it too often, I could enjoy myself when out drinking occasionally.

Thanks Nick (and others via fmail) - very grateful for all input.
On advice from here and Smell I'm seeing the GP on Wednesday. The receptionist laughed at me, which wasn't especially helpful.

My son suffers with AF, he is having a procedure later this week to rectify the issue as the attacks are happening more frequently and does not sort itself out.

There's a lot of talk of attacks here. I have nothing of the sort - I feel absolutely fine pretty much all of the time - it's just my Garmin (and Apple Watch) report some very strange numbers...

Worth getting checked out all the same Greg, my son is having Catheter Ablation, hope he can get back to normal then.

Never felt like an”attack” for me, in truth, only my HRM told me I was having an episode.

No 'attack' for me either. I could feel my heart beating more than I normally did when I woke up, but it was when I looked at my watch and noticed my heartrate had been over 100 the past 4 hours, when normally it would be around 50 when asleep.
