Just nipping back to chest torches, GimmeMedals was quick to take advantage of same for her early a.m. run outings. May be blogged.

I'm not a fan of chest torches, at least with a head torch you can simply point your noggin at a given object/bit of land. Harder with a chest torch.

I love my chest torch. It has the merit of not falling off or messing up my hair.
I occasionally pop "health data" (random BP, pulse and peak expiratory flow rate and information from the tape measure) into private blog entries. My weight goes into my Fetch training log. I don't track any of it.

V'rap - re. head torch, does yours give a wide/diffused arc of light? I'm just thinking that for running roads, that sort of thing wouldn't be too bad. For off-road you need a pool of light right in front of your feet, hence the reason I don't use chest torches.

I totally get that, NE, and I have millions of head torches at home but a chest torch is perfect for poorly lit roads and easy, familiar trail.

I guess a chest torch has the benefit of not blinding anyone you might look at

Never used a chest torch. Can you adjust them as easy as a head torch? Can they be adjusted?
That is; on the move.

Sigh
I have a chest torch, it's okay but I prefer the combination of using it with a head torch as well. The chest torch then acts a bit like front fog lights on a car.
I got the chest torch a few years ago now, before buying it I couldn't remember the make (it was a Kalenji), and inadvertantly ended up googling "strap on" to try and find it
Running with one of those would certainly clear the path.
