I only pay for small things, and keep a separate account for the Garmin, with limited funds in it. In fact, I had to open another account; very few banks do Garmin Pay. I have an account with Starling and just keep it topped up to around £150. You can also use it to pay on the Underground. This is useful as I don't London very often so don't have an Oyster card, and I don't need to use my contactless cards, so they can stay in my RFID-protected card case.

I don't bother with an RFID case, I just keep my cards under my tinfoil helmet.

I would point out that my RFID case is just a normal leather wallet with some gubbins in it.

It's govt mind-reading and magic. No good will come of it I tell you. And identity theft.

Do the wallets protect cards from being read then? It’s all way beyond me

Allegedly; RFID wallets have fine metal mesh lining each card slot to protect it

They are a reasonable alternative to the tinfoil hat but you can't be too careful. The wallet doesn't protect you from the mind control either. Microwaving the cards is rumoured to work too. |

Being in the RF business (so to speak), I've tested some of the RFID cards: they do work
