This is not as annoying as it could be as I shall be free to swim middle of the day then - and if the over 55s aren't there for free, they may not be walking across the pool and standing in the middle gossipping like they were last time I tried to swim there "off-peak"

Going back a few pages, avocados are one of my favorites, and good home made guacamole is the nectar of the gods. In Malawi this time of year was avocado season, 3 years of my life spent gorging on perfect ripe avocados each May. That old fashioned concept of truly seasonal fruit. Staple of Mondays growing up: beef dripping sandwiches. Mmmmm, lard....
