I read scotrail 50 plus as scrotal 50 plus. Oops! In line with the medical kits, though.
Good stuff, Runningfoxx. Your'e an inspiration!

Since getting my bus pass I'm afraid I have taken to getting the bus 2/3 of the way home from town, probably half a mile. They're not an unmixed blessing (though a frequent bus service is not to be scorned).

The Welsh Government are looking at whether to change the Bus Pass age from 60 to nearer retirement age...which could be as late as 67! There is also a consideration on the table to restrict the hours when a pass can be used to only between 9.30 am and 3.30pm but hopefully that won't get through. Will look at your blog RFox but can't open it just now.

I heard yesterday of a friend who always threw his poo kits away. Apparently he's been having a bit of trouble in the poo department this year. When the kit dropped on the mat a few weeks ago, his wife suggested that he did it. He quickly had a phone call, then more tests and investigations and he has colon cancer and due in for an op next week. Hoping for good news from that.

All the ppi calls have dryed up now only to be replaced by life insurance calls &always when I am out on the bike when it's annoying to have to stop find which pocket my phones ringing from.

Fingers crossed Alpen. That's how they detected cancer in my friend's husband (who sadly died last year) and my friend's dad both at the same time and he has been given the all clear. Not the nicest test but made simpler now and can be a life saver.

Went to my first U3A (Uni of 3rd Age) meeting yesterday morning and it was worth the trip into town. Played bowls after lunch and around 4pm, decided to run. In the time it took me to get changed and out of the door, it went from sunny to overcast. Five minutes after setting off I was running in blizzard conditions. I almost turned for home but then the snow stopped and it was okay for the rest of my run. LD has cancelled tomorrow morning's club run due to the weather forecast - a wise choice and I'll run on my treadmill in my garage instead (and with it being so cold out there, will probably put the sauna on so I can warm up again).
