Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I swam in the Henley Club to Pub this evening. When I entered the event I was picturing a sunny summer evening with a pint in the pub garden afterwards...

Despite the rain it was brilliant. And I get to do it all again tomorrow with my mum. 😁

Nightjar - I've been channelling that memory to get into Box End in skins :)
Wetsuits were for sailing the Topper when I was a kid, not swimming

Well done poppy. We did pub to club last year. Glad you enjoyed it. Did they still give you a bottle of beer at the end?

Yes, and the medal doubles as bottle opener. But a cup of tea was what I really wanted!

Managed my 2nd OW swim since an iron-distance tri 5years ago.. Wednesday’s experience was hard-going - only managed 5mins in the water, getting used to how cold water affects my breathing, and to the whole concept of swimming again after 5years without any (no pool swimming either!)
Today i managed to control my breathing better, even though it was colder, and did almost 10mins, it felt a lot better. Only downside is I chose the wrong time of year to get started again 🤔🙄

Hey all... that’s my river swim cherry popped. Amazing swim along from Dedham Mill today towards Flatford. Water was just right, cool
But beautiful to the point I didnt want to get out!

Really learned alot about kit today

The things I have already were so worth the cost and I understand more about the swimwear options now... as well as the changing and standing about gear

Rooky error forgot my trainers! Duh! Luckily my swim shoes of choice dried off enough to drive home in

Sounds like some nice swimming going on for you all too this week... I feel so elated having swum this morning.. isnt it amazing
