Ingebrigtsen was the pacemaker from started to finish and dragged everyone to PB's.

He's the best in rabbited races but has more problems in championship races.

Then he moved wide to try to block Kerr out and opened the door to Hocker. If he'd held the kerb I think Kerr wins that because Hocker would have had to go the long way round.

I remember a Coe/Ovett showdown where some unknown East German crept through and beat them both.

Kerr ran a big PB and NR so I think he ran a great race. Hocker (who also ran a big PB) is a good kicker and there's a thread on Letsrun saying suggesting he's the great 1500 kicker ever.

Ingebrigtsen is really the one that needs to find a way in 1500 races. If he ran 1000 fast instead of of the too fast start and having to slow, he probably medals but the top four were all under the Olympic record.

Good run by Lizzie Bird. Another British record despite not getting close to the leading pack.

New BBC expression. The Olympic Final is "stacked". Stating the bleeding obvious. Of course it will be.

About This Thread

Maintained by Curly45
Couldn't find a thread so thought I would start one.

Who else is off to watch or who is watching at home?

We're doing Lille and Paris and a mix of sports. Currently trying to find travel insurance that includes ticket cancellation as some of the trains in the UK might be difficult and we have some internal French trains to do as well.

Also need to work out the new Paris metro ticket/app combo (Navigo I think).
