Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Of all the non-sports in the world, horse dancing has to be one of the most absurd. Why not dog obedience trials too? Or "biggest marrow in show"?

Totally agree that any sport where Olympic gold isn't the ultimate, shouldn't be in the Olympics. And I really can't get on with any event that contains an element of dancing, or where the biggest deciding factor isn't human effort (e g. If I wore the latest sprinting shoes, Bolt would still beat me in plimsolls, but after a bit of training on how to drive an F1 car, I'd beat Hamilton if he was in a Ford Fiesta)

Surely it's going to have to be human chess.

A bit of training to drive an F1 car?!? I admire your confidence!!!

Like I always say if you don't like a particular sport being in the Olympics don't watch it. There's always something else on.

Eg. Djokovic vs Nadal right now on the extra channel :-)

Skateboarding medalists 14, 15 and 16. Sounds extraordinary though I have memories they were even younger in Tokyo.

loving the MTB, but there's something about the voice of the male commentator on BBC that grinds on me.

Did Discovery just have the two Brits the wrong way round? They had Aldridge at the front, Pidcock further back, then an advert break so I changed to BBC and they swapped!

the official listing (as shown on BBC) was Aldridge then Pidcock. Pidcock was definitely 15th or so on the first lap but I'm not sure when it changed.

About This Thread

Maintained by Curly45
Couldn't find a thread so thought I would start one.

Who else is off to watch or who is watching at home?

We're doing Lille and Paris and a mix of sports. Currently trying to find travel insurance that includes ticket cancellation as some of the trains in the UK might be difficult and we have some internal French trains to do as well.

Also need to work out the new Paris metro ticket/app combo (Navigo I think).
