Very exciting @lammo we were sat next to some very experienced cyclists as well so that was handy for all the rules and tips πŸ˜‚πŸ‘Œ

And they were from Derby so not too far away from us.

Absolutely frazzled now though. Very humid inside phewwwww.

Good question πŸ™‚ Danny is a bit of a legend in terms of his feistiness, but I can tell you that George has his fair share too. He was one of our juniors and his grit and determination made him stand out.

p.s. George was coached by a friend of mine, Jo Day - you can find plenty about her online. She's currently coaching another George [Couttie], a lad I used to coach off-road myself a few years back. He had obvious potential even then, remember where you heard his name for the first time because this boy is fast and will go places.

Fair enough, but he has also been a pro skateboarder for 30 years...

So close to gold! I hope MHS isn't too disappointed, he set an ER for silver.

Oof. Another gold so close and pipped by the US. Gutted for him.

About This Thread

Maintained by Curly45
Couldn't find a thread so thought I would start one.

Who else is off to watch or who is watching at home?

We're doing Lille and Paris and a mix of sports. Currently trying to find travel insurance that includes ticket cancellation as some of the trains in the UK might be difficult and we have some internal French trains to do as well.

Also need to work out the new Paris metro ticket/app combo (Navigo I think).
