Meglet 7 Aug 8:35pm, 7 Aug 2024 24,921 posts	0 Meglet I was confused watching that as I knew he was lane 6, but were there 9 runners? (I’m abroad so haven’t seen much and don’t have English commentary). I thought he was way back and only in the home straight did I realise he was the leader 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's been a bit of a disappointing time for Team GB on the track - out of the golden prospects, only Hodgkinson has delivered so far. Kerr and MHS did their best but got edged out by Americans and the less said about the pole vault, the better. Nasty fall in the steeplechase - hope the fella's OK.

See also the track cycling, it’s so similar to NZ it took me a while to be certain, but now I know to look for the helmets with the stripe.

Couldn't find a thread so thought I would start one.

Who else is off to watch or who is watching at home?

We're doing Lille and Paris and a mix of sports. Currently trying to find travel insurance that includes ticket cancellation as some of the trains in the UK might be difficult and we have some internal French trains to do as well.

Also need to work out the new Paris metro ticket/app combo (Navigo I think).
