I'm sure they're nicer in domestic gardens rather than the over formal displays in parks. I'm not trampling on the tulips, honest!

The problem with ours is they are a bit too close to the shrub where the birds think they can take refuge from Wanda.....and Wanda tries to prove that they can't

I love tulips - but that's because mum is from near Spalding and they were a big thing when I was growing up. Fields and fields of them :)
spaldingnet.com
and in finding that link I see they stopped the parade in 2013 :(

I hung on for nearly two days, Dio - it really doesn't matter.

And a lot of people post in the evening anyway. Or early tomorrow.

I'm sadly newt free at the moment.

I saw my first proper crop/group/gathering of daffodils just the other day. I love it when everything turns yellow - daffs, oil seed rape, broom, gorse.

And then the blue comes among the yellow with the forget-me-nots and bluebells, and then it all turns to grass and stinging nettles.

I do have a newt! For the first time, I got access to a patient's sheltered housing complex by knocking on her window and getting her to pass her keys out to me. The keypad and bell are out of action after a burglary, and she doesn't use the 'phone.

"Doesn't use the phone". Brilliant!

I think this counts as a newt. I did intervals. Not new. But I did the Project Joker intervals. That's a newt. And as I do intervals about four times a year, less if I don't run with Fleecy, then intervals are sort-of a newt too. And I got invited to my PhD graduation. That's definitely a newt :)

PhD graduation is a good newt Linds.

I have had smoked haddock and egg poached in milk. It's not a first but first in a long time. The fish was from a supermarket counter and was good - this is a newt!
