My old car has a newt alternator
I've just done a very newt-to-me thing. I've 'phoned a trade journal to discuss the details of placing a job advert.
And I've learned a lot of newt facts about parvovirus in pregnancy.

Thank you Alice I like the sound of that holiday but there are loads of excellent newts today so it's going to be a tough choice.
I have taken Wanda for a walk today in a place that I have never walked her in before. I've also started working on a new and unexpected project that was offered to me. Sounds like it's going to be an interesting one too.

That sounds excellent, Baroness.
I have cooked something called 'sinigang' - it's Filipino and features tamarind. I adapted from a few different recipes but I've kept the essentials. Tastes good at this stage but will probably be better tomorrow when I add more vegetables.

I've just seen a bat! Flitting back and forth across our garden, really low.
I've seen bats before of course ... But he's the first this year!

Ah I had a FB memory pop up the other day about the first bat of the year! None here yet tho.
My newts are not that jingly- trying a new beef recipe tonight! I also attended CPR training today (mandatory) and it was the first time I'd done the compressions for a full minute, and the

Bah Then compression/ breath cycle for 2 minutes. You usually get shown and do it for one cycle and someone else has a go. Really brought it home how physically tiring it is.
We also did "full body injury checks" Ina casualty (each other). As an SLT I don't tend to touch my patients at all other than assessment of their swallow, so doing a full body check on a complete stranger (who also happened to be a male) was a complete newt.
