My newt is likely to be the purchase of a new microwave. The old one is on its way to the tip as I write after we discovered the plug had kind of burnt itself into the wall socket

Little Nemo
My newt for today was going to Harlesden which I haven't done in years. I needed a cheap cushion to put behind my sofa back cushion (I need more back support) and figured it was the closest place that hasn't been gentrified to death and would still have budget shops. I was right and got a flock effect one for £3.99

The new microwave will have to be tomorrow's newt. I don't have one for today unless the pub I will be visiting later has a new beer on that I haven't tried before, which is a strong possibility.

Real newt! As often happens, I didn't bother getting changed properly for my run this evening, I went out in the cotton t-shirt and Ronhill tracksters that I'd worn for climbing. It was a bit chilly. I didn't want to generate extra washing by putting on a long-sleeved top, so for the first time ever I went out for a run wearing a pair of my cycling arm warmers (which I don't normally wear even for cycling because I've got a socio-cultural aversion to limb warmers) with my t-shirt.
The only beings I saw were sheep, farmyard ducks, and a vole. If any of them pointed and sniggered, I didn't notice.

As well you might, .B., for I'm now sitting on the sofa eating dry Cheerios and still wearing the arm warmers 
For the past few days, I have really, really, really wanted some chocolate.

I need to wean myself off the stuff again, I have been eating ridiculous amounts of non-food and not much proper food. Still K is back tomorrow, that will help.

I saw a rainbow today, and then about 20 minutes later I saw another one.
Tonight I've sung in my first concert with the Devizes choir in Devizes. We sang a couple of weeks ago in Marlborough but this was my first Devizes outing. It went better than expected.
