Snail once the seeking starts each month I don’t think you can change your hiding place for that month. You can of course hide for Januarys game in the squares you have run or walk or cycled in December

Snail you can move the map as often as you'd like for seeking or for opening up new spots to hide the following month. Settings>Click here to change your home point. Then choose your preferred map centre (or center in my case), then click Save Home point to confirm it. It should be moved then.

If you deny it access to your location then it shows the current grid location accurately and you can use that as a baseline.
