Did the half marathon that went along the closed strip & a 5k the night before. It was tough because Vegas is high up. We liked the old Fremont area. Went mountain biking in Red Rock Canyon. Got a helicopter to the Grand Canyon & landed in it. They played the Ride of the Valkyrie as it went in. Apparently because of the updrafts it’s a very dangerous place to fly 😂 We went to a great show called Absinthe and a Comedy Club. It’s a fantastic place to people watch. Oh, we had a wee quick gamble too. Lost of course.
Ness 14 Jan 9:32am, 14 Jan 2025 47,612 posts	0 Ness I wanted to do an excursion that was available when we went to the Grand Canyon. It involved a days hiking and then camping in the Canyon overnight. Mr Ness wasn't keen so we stayed in a lodge at the rim instead.

um 14 Jan 9:35am, 14 Jan 2025 9,227 posts	0 um @geordiegirl - back in 2019 we did a self organised 'NP & SP Grand Tour', flying into and out of LV. - Hoover Dam on the way to Grand Canyon (down & up by foot) - Monument Valley on the way to Moab (for Arches, Dead Horse and Canyonlands) - Bryce - Zion - then over to Death Valley LV was the only let down ...all the others were great. (not mundane at all though, sorry)
