Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My parents have a touring caravan which they use to store veg /drinks (beer, cider, coke) in at Christmas as its usually cold!

The veg was 10p a pack at Morrison's yesterday - sprouts, carrots and parsnips. We're not going to need the carrots and parsnips for Christmas Day so they're going into pots of lentil soup to be frozen for January.

I don’t need any extra food as going out for Christmas Day but will look into the cheap veg and make soup or roasted veg for Sunday as having OH’s son and DiL over on Sunday.

We haven’t decided what to eat this year yet. Our bathroom, which was freezing, is being done up and the bath’s been taken out. It was great for storing stuff that would fit in the fridge

traditionally veg and anything that needs defrosting sits on the roof of whichever car is in the garage. When we had big get togethers, I used to fire up a really old fridge in the shed for emergency use too, but it has packed up now :(

In the unlikely case of needing an extra cold place this year I can turn the van fridge on.
Only 6 of us for the lunch this year and then just the four of us :(
I'm struggling to choose what cakes/deserts to make - it was an easy 'one of everything' when there were nearer 20 people floating around for 48 hours

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
