We're not going to need the carrots and parsnips for Christmas Day so they're going into pots of lentil soup to be frozen for January.

When we had big get togethers, I used to fire up a really old fridge in the shed for emergency use too, but it has packed up now In the unlikely case of needing an extra cold place this year I can turn the van fridge on. Only 6 of us for the lunch this year and then just the four of us I'm struggling to choose what cakes/deserts to make - it was an easy 'one of everything' when there were nearer 20 people floating around for 48 hours
