Gosh shades!

I’m getting cheap veg from Tesco on Monday

I'm pondering buying more than I need and storing in the garage for soup but not sure if it will keep

Asda, because it's in the same complex as the cinema.

I'm going to Aldi tomorrow morning at

7am for my veg and final food shop. Shan't be buying any more than one bag of each plus a red cabbage. I won't be buying any Brussels sprouts.

Pix - should keep longer in a cold garage. If you have room in a freezer, could make the soup and freeze it.

Living in a flat I don't have any cool space. When I was working we were given a turkey at Christmas and it was too big for my fridge so it was in the boot of my car to defrost.

I shall get my veg from the farmer over the green, not as cheap as Aldi, but at least he gets its worth and it is fresh.

No food shopping required. I’m doing a Christmas (ish) dinner tomorrow and we’ll live on leftovers and fridge scrapings until we leave on Monday.

At 15p per pack (carrots, sprouts, pots, broccoli, cabbage, parsnips) it's too tempting not to get some for soups and/or freezing.
(Tesco and Sainsbury's, but I'm sure the others are probably matching it)

Got my mince free today. Had a short use by date, so I rejected it. The driver said "I'll refund it, but you might as well keep it if you find a way to use it, because it will only be thrown out when I take it back". I like drivers like that.

Not sure if mundane or not. I got an Amazon £50 gift card today on an email address I rarely use. From someone I don't know. And saying 'Happy Birthday', when it's not.

It all looked real. All links pointed to Amazon, not some suspicious site.

There was no way to reject it, or reply. No ready made Amazon form to reject it. So I clicked the 'call me' button. Which they did, but then put me in a queue. When customer support did join me, I explained, gave the order number and value. They said they could block the card to stop it being redeemed, but couldn't message or tell the buyer that it had been stopped, or even just cancel it and refund the buyer.

I hope the buyer realises their gift never got to the intended recipient and get their money back and I didn't just give Amazon £50.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
