Mowed most of the lawn. At some stage near the end the mower made a weird noise, stopped hovering and smoke emanated from it

Went to Sainsbury's after climbing, to get HNSW and a head of broccoli, a plan modified when eL Bee! came in with a £12 off if you spend £80 from his fuel purchase. We won't starve for a long time.

Went to meet friends (colleagues) for walk and coffee. 5 hrs of chat. I’m surprisingly tired.

Did a bit of chopping & snipping in the garden and mowed both lawns, keeping the cut a bit higher now.

Brought washing in and went for a run.

I love those views from up there Lizzie, especially out to sea.
Well done HB.

We’re having steak and chips. I’ll get started when QP gets back from dog walk.

Oh as if in cue he’s back :)

Chilli simmering away.
Village fireworks at 7. Chilli for when we get home.

[Not just any village fireworks - Pains are based in the village, so it tends to be a bit special]
[Think of the sort of fireworks sent up in London or Sydney at New Year, but for a 'school fundraising' and in the village rec, with the massive displays exploding out directly above. All for £6.50]

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
