I don’t have a garage. I do have a drive. It is small and slopes. I bought a specially small car to fit on it.

Our drive is big enough for the two cars - just. I took my new one home for a test to make sure it didn’t hang onto the pavement before I bought it. Think the poor salesman thought I was crackers.

The garage used to have two cars in it, all the time - when we first moved here and only had one toddler
It also has a 2000l oil tank in a big brick bund in it. If we were to get rid of that there would be room for a gym

Next door-but-one have converted theirs to a studio bungalow for their son.

If we decided to stay here, we’ll put solar and electric heating in and dispose of the tank, but it’s not worth is for maybe 5 years or so.

Driveway man has rescheduled twice - have been planting veg out, so waiting time not wasted.

Tea and then maybe a short run before the latest ETA comes around.

Our drive is big enough for two cars. But not for a motorhome.

We have a small drive that had to be re-tarmaced after the dodgy wet room fitter a few years back used it as his workbench to cut tiles with an angle grinder!! After the MD visited the firm redid the wet room and paid another firm to sort the drive!!

I’m waiting to get a quote to replace the falling apart tarmac drive and extend it into the gravel bit in front of the hose such that we can park more vehicles on it. Youngest has been given late FiL’s car and eldest is moving back home. This is upsetting my plans for a motorhome hence clearing garage and extending drive.
You remember the car moving scenes in ‘Butterflies’ it’s going to be like that here

*sighs*. So much for reducing our reliance on the flipping things.

I sketched a plan to enlarge the off-road tarmac area outside our house to make room for more cars, but it was part of a big plan involving landscaping the garden and putting in some drainage, taking down the conservatory, moving doors around and replacing the kitchen. Then I decided I'd rather sort out the garden myself, live with the existing kitchen and conservatory, accept occasional street parking, and retire a year earlier. Better for the environment too, leaving the ground porous and not sending a not-to-my-taste but functional kitchen to landfill.

Our driveway has room for three cars, which as we only have one makes it more than enough and great for when we have visitors.

Finished my gardening for today and pumped up bike tyres so I can go on the turbo trainer tomorrow morning. Duolingo Spanish lessons next.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
