Dustin
Hiya
WP - eek, sorry to hear about achilles woes
Vrap - well done at Chester!
Hazel - hope saddle soreness eases off
Dio - well done on yesterdays longie
Ale - here's hoping work doesn't stop play (it won't !)
RooA - it's all relative, 6 miles is a decent distance for most people. Well done.
NightOwl - well done at Sarfend
Rosehip - ahh wallpapering , great fun..... I knew there was a reason I paint the walls now...
Tine - sensible decision yesterday
Riggsy - good work on the 20

What - Easy lunchtime
Why - recovery
last rest - 14/09
last hard - yesterday. Did the local 10k. Nothing spectacular, not a disaster either. just over 48 mins, nowhere near what I want to run but happy enough. Classic schoolboy error of not checking laces, so had a 30s pause at halfway to re-do. Idiot.
lyric - yes.
Happy with any theme tbh, Ale's or Peter's suggestions work fine

Nice running/cycling all, except WP, that's a shame to be injured.
Have I missed Chester result somewhere?, well done anyhow!
Lyrics no.
hoping for 7 miles on road today but haven't got moving yet though have been in to work to catch up on results etc.
Well done on the 10k Dustin. They had island games test HM here yesterday, 4 laps starting with a hill, wouldn't have been a fun route but good for marshalling purposes and keeps off busy roads. Small field all well under 2 hours, likely be an even faster field next July!

Definition of disappointment, opening the pair of trail shoes that just arrived and realising they're for Peter not me!!
7.1 miles which were hard in the wind.

Thanks, @Dustin and @ElspethF :) I've got over any disappointment I might have felt at not being able to finish in the time that I'd correctly assessed as fast enough to win my age category. What I did is a fair reflection of what I'm actually capable of on a good day.

About This Thread

Maintained by riggys99
Each day someone sets some song lyrics, often on a particular theme, eg colours, numbers, running, etc. Others then say whether they know the song or not, but DO NOT say what the song is: the answer is revealed the next day.

Current theme: COLOURS

Contributors then say
What their training will be
Why they are doing it

Some also say
Last hard
Last rest

Plus of course general comments about the weather, other people’s training or races…illness or injuries!

Feel free to join us and why not set some lyrics once you get the hang of the thread?
