The course was long last year officially 26.4 due to the Caldecotte detour.
new route this year 9 miles on dual carriageway up to city to prevent crowding on the redways.

Ran tonight and still have a lower back twinge so decided to be sensible for once and not enter MK. Will do the other MK marathon in July instead

There's another one in August??
Good luck to everyone doing this - I was to have been there, but decided to bin it some weeks ago when I realised that I was nowhere near fit enough to run it at the moment
Maybe next year - but I've really gone right off spring marathons with the winters we've had in the last few years!

There's a marathon in MK almost every month Schnecke, sometimes 2-4...next year even 7 in 7 days! You have to be quick to book though

yes - from next to the stadium, up to CMK where it does a wiggly bit round the buildings, then back down towards caldecotte.

we run on one side of the dual carriageway and the cars are diverted onto the other side.
