Nahh - MK is very open and airy and these particular roads are not that busy - you wont notice any fumes.

But there is plenty of up if the route is now 'up to the city centre' and plenty of down on the way down again.

yes - CMK is on a "hill" although you cant really describe MK as being "hilly"

There's plenty of uppage and downage but I wouldn't much fancy the route from 18 onwards when it leaves the canal on tired legs. Most of the uppage seems to be in the latter parts, after the shock of the uppage to CMK at the start.
