Look what I found at the bottom of an email listing the British Orienteering Federation’s webinars for 2025 “ Session 11 - Menopause – Embracing Life’s Transitions Your Way” (by Revive Active) Date: 7/2/2025 Time: 7pm Registration Link: xxx 20% of the UK’s population are menopausal at any one time. So, you’d think we’d know more about this transitional time of life. Learn more about the meno journey and how to embrace it with positivity - YOUR WAY - with Nicola Sainty from Revive Active. Find out how British Orienteering Members have got on with supportive supplementation, why retailers are sitting up and paying attention and why the conversation still needs be normalised. Be part of the conversation and have your say… and fellas, this webinar is for you too, so come along and join in” I google Revive Active, it’s a company selling supplements. No thank you. |

20% sounds wrong or are they counting everyone who has gone through menopause as menopausal?

Free from binders and fillers is a lie. The brown rice extract is almost certainly cellulose. The enzymes are completely unnecessary (apart from maybe lactase) and by not being protected at all will be almost instantly digested in the stomach and are therefore useless too. The probiotics might be useful, but again without the capsule protection, fewer will survive the stomach so they'll be less effective. I'm concerned about the high concentrations of B vitamins (the vit D is fine). Containing 100% of your selenium requirements is also concerning as there is a narrow window for benefit before you get into toxicity. Also weird to note that the vitamin D3 is vegan when the algal omega 3 apparently has milk as an allergen. Also very worrying that they can't spell nicotinamide or thiamine properly in the ingredients list. |
