Thanks Katie. Disappointing re the missed referral, things could have been so different if the results went the other way. It’s so difficult getting departments to talk to each other and knowing who should be actioning what, we really need our healthcare to work together and run much more smoothly.

Glad it all turned out alright in the end. The NHS is generally great but communications in general desperately need sorting out. I have a friend who only found out by accident he had been diagnosed with diabetes from a blood test, which really was shocking.

Glad it all turned out ok Katie. Absolutely agree about NHS. Friend has what we think is long covid. She’s been seen by multiple different specialists but each looking at a different symptom. |

I know its veering off topic, but yesterday I got a copy of a letter written by my consultant to my GP that was written on 17th September. Presumably dictated and it took all this time to get to the top of the pile to be typed up and sent. Ok there was nothing on it that the GP needs to action but if it’s taking nearly 3 months for my GP to get information about my hospital visit, then something really needs to change. |

Recommendations welcomed: my moustache is rivalling my teenage son's. What's the lowest maintenance option? Bleach, veet, threading, waxing, something I haven't thought of?! (Finished periods, not on HRT) |

I use facial wax straps. They're a bit painful but I've got used to it!
