Few towns can have less in the way of festivities than Taunton, where late night shopping is the highlight. Though there is a miniature railway running on Sunday that seems to have escaped the notice of the tourist office. |

Oscar the Grouch
It's not running at the moment, Chris - only runs in the summer I think. Bizarrely it runs around the kids play area and nobody can get in or out while it is tootling around!!

Also entertained that the Testimonial by Ann below that has her spelling the plural of battery in two different ways within the same paragraph. My "apostrophe alertometer" pinged as soon as I saw the paragraph, even before I'd read it word for word! I actually have a large plastic ice-cream tub that fulfils the same purpose - I also aways know where my batteries are! |
