Thanks, Shades There is another factor that could stop me from making the trip, but now that I know it's on I really, really, really want to go.

Wow Foxy that is a list of my dreams, presuming a soft spot for Amsterdam, Berlin and Gdansk? Have done and loved Berlin, soo much history, some chequered. Great news Velicoraptor. Have you run it before. Big_G I know you know Verona but worthwhile doing it's marathon. Very good indeed. Verona went well. Loved the city, very attractive, walkable and soo many interesting buildings and places. The marathon was well organised, flat and fast. Weather was on the cool side. The Italian national anthem was played and then we were off, largely around the outskirts of the city, into and then out of the city, into the countryside before back into the city and a spectacular finish by the Arena, the Roman amphitheatre. Got the sub 3 time I wanted, so doubly pleased. Book ended the visit with some days in Venice, which was one of those very special places that exceeded already high expectations. Soo much so, will look to do the Venice marathon next October. |

I like Berlin as a race but can take on leave it as a City & When i dfio Gdansk I actually stay up the coast in Gdynia ! I have done around 110 in the USA too (finishing the 50 states in 2018.) Many congratulations on the sub 3 that's very impressive. I saw alot of my British mates were out in Verona at the weekend. |

I've never run Valencia before, @OuchOuch. I ran Seville Marathon in February this year as my first overseas marathon and really enjoyed it.

Sevilla is a lovely marathon fast & flat - quite competive - I believe it's an IAAF Gold race ?

Seville is on the list of "to dos". Valencia is ace, ran it in 2017.. A lovely run through the city, along lots of long wide straight roads, and quite an amazing finishing last 1/4 mile. It was my PB run. Three things I distinctly remember, being given a bag of oranges at the finish (love oranges), a guy with his beat box blasting out the Star Wars theme - you could hear it from miles away, and - UNPLEASANT INCIDENT ALERT - a very competitive runner chasing sub 2.45 in white running lycra shorts who had clearly decided not to take a number 2 loo break and to do it on the run! |

I'd do Seville again in a heartbeat. After running it this year (not fast, I was at the "party" end of the race) I entered the half for 2025 instead, but I have slight regret now. They're only three weeks apart so I couldn't have justified either staying away that long or two separate trips.
