The link was to the LDWA group which is a private group, so couldn't see what it was as I'm not in the group :-(

Oooh a thread about maps, I love maps, and I am definitely in the category of someone who could spending as long pouring over maps planning walks/runs/kayaks as actually doing them!

I love all types of maps, not just those I can use to plan holidays. Sometimes at work I get to work with bathymetry data which is really cool as we can make maps of what you'd see if you drained the ocean. We recently published two maps for Te Riu-a-Māui / Zealandia (the continent New Zealand sits on) data.gns.cri.nz . Not very useful for planning your latest run, but pretty none the less!
