Well done everyone. I’m loving the updates. I was a DNS yesterday for Manchester due to family stuff, but I hope to go and do it one year.

Hi Joopsy, yes that was me in the rainbow Fetch top, nice to meet you! 😁
The support along the course was great, kept me going. Glad you had a good race.

My legs feel knackered Larkim, not as bad as the nasty cold I've gone down with though (not Covid) I think I caught a chill with all the hanging around at the beginning waiting to get to the start then must have picked up something on the marathon express back from Old Trafford metro stop, we were packed onto the carriages like sardines

My legs are ok, I’ve got a nasty blister on the bottom of my left foot but other than that I’m ok.

Legs ok-ish, but got a big blister on my big toe. Just had a look at my race photo’s. Doesn’t make for pleasant viewing 😂

Finish line video of me starts here

Legs are stiff especially calves & quads. I can also feel my left ITB's tight & the plantar fascia on the left too but no running for me today. Broke my 501 day streak last Monday so enjoying the lack of pressure. Was going to bike in to work but got put off by the light rain. Probably go for a short spin this evening to keep them from seizing up and maybe a very easy 5K tomorrow if I feel OK.

Got a 5K race Wednesday evening & then Brighton Mara on Sunday so need to keep the legs moving but also allow plenty of recovery.

Anyone else got an email from Manchester with "We missed you! Sorry you couldn't join us" as the title?!?! 😂😂😂

The event is great, but there's some tech they need to sort - like the fact that the "halfway" split on the results screen is shown as being at 13.05 miles so the calculated pace looks screwy. Either the mat was 0.06 of a mile early, or the calculation is just wrong and the mat was at 13.11. I know it's a little thing, but these things are so easy to get right!

After faling to buy the photos for £20 I couldn't resist buying at £40 today. Didn't want to jinx myself I guess. That's nearly as much as the entry fee in the first place! Some good photos, though my finish line ones look as if I'm imploring the timer to be wrong when in fact I was trying to blow kisses to my wife via the finish camera screen!

I bought them at half price at 9pm Saturday once I was totally confident I'd be on the startline 🤣

FJ, that video clip seems to have me showboating on it right at the start, thank you! 🤣

What time was on the clock when you two finished? When I click the youtuube above I think it flips back to wherever you were watching the video (hence you can see yourself Clare!).

This link has the timecode in it so I think should bring the clock to about 3:29 and I come in the blue top at about 3:29:16. Though it might not work!
