I can usually fast (relatively fast) jog 300-500 m AFTER a sprint session.
Am a weirdo.

In other news I am excused the Friday dog walk today. 'You seem so busy,' Raffo said. 'I'm not - I can do it. Well?'
'But do I need the exercise?' I heard myself say.

So good not to have the Dog Walk this morning. Have got loads done and can now do my 50-60 min upper body workout with a bit more oomph.
So what if I only reach around 7000 steps today. (Am telling self!)

Aye, so what. That guidance isn't intended for competitive athletes who get enough exercise to exceed the recommendations for general health AND do a variety of types of exercise.
(10,000 steps has never been A Thing for me. When my main sport was cycling, I probably didn't even manage 2,000 steps most days.)

On days when I do a strength session but don't run, I seldom achieve 10k steps. I consider that I've trained sufficiently on these days. On days when I do run I usually comfortably exceed 10k, but those steps aren't run at anything like the intensity of your sprint training!
