Chrismean - I expect there will possibly be quite a few fast international runners that wouldn't usually be able to participate though.

One of the disadvantages of yesterday's arrangement was that there was no chance of someone unexpected coming through and shaking up the leaderboard.

Bit stiff this morning (and a few lumps and bruises from my fall!) but nowhere near as bad as I was after my first marathon last year. Planning to work from bed most of today though

at least I didn't get out run by a rhino or Tiger or something equally annoying at the finish! LOL Hubby did wonder why I ran past him claiming I didn't see him and was amused when I said sorry I had 0.03m to do! |

EvilPixie it does take the wind out of your sails being overtaken by a man carrying a washing machine (seriously why?). Where are people finding the full results? I must be being dense but can only see the elite results... |

Lmh, I would agree only these are registered as gbr and have very British names too. And are older age categories.... top 3 is what I’m referring to in current results

Here are the full results for the virtual event, although to be taken with a large pinch of salt due to app discrepancies. I know of a couple who measured over a mile long and others who measured miles short. results.virginmoneylondonmarathon.com |

My app finished a good 1.25m quicker than friends and my Garmin. So my time should have been 7.54 not 7.32 but Garmin came in at 8h dead! Most random.

I ran an EA licensed course and didnt use the app but my Garmin still registered 0.2 short (had to run past the finish line for the virtual!) - think it just goes to show that GPS is quite fallible especially over that sort of distance.
