I was at one today...a fair few of the volunteers were those of us who organized Conkers in 2011, but still lots of new folk. 150 was a nice number, but parking could be tricky in coming weeks, with space and silly app/phone payment only options. A few photos I snapped - m.facebook.com

That looks a great event sLickster - doable for us, driving from Chesterfield. We'll wait until it's had time to bed in and have a visit. W

It might be my NENDY. Certainly in my nearest few, anyway.

Apparently Clarence parkrun started yesterday near Bury. Did a great job keeping it quiet as I live not far from there and had no idea!

A chap at parkrun this morning was applauded for having completed all of the Yorkshire region parkruns. Someone pointed out that he hadn't finished yet as there was an inaugural in Yorkshire today, at Baysgarth Park in Barton upon Humber, which although it is in North Lincolnshire seems to be considered as part of the region.

The full name of the parkrun region is Yorkshire and the Humber, not just Yorkshire - I guess that's what was being referred to?

About This Thread

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
