i was interested to see that, despite it being an inaugural for the 5k at Eastville Park tomorrow, the junior parkrun there has been going a while (31 runs to date). I sort of assumed they were normally created off of the back of the 5k's but clearly some are independent. No reason they shouldnt be, just hadnt seen it before.

I wonder if Dumfries Juniors is the furthest from a 5K parkrun, being about 29 miles from Carlisle parkrun?
Helix, Prestwick Oval, and Rouken Glen are other that I know of which, although in the vicinity of 5K events, are unlinked to other parkruns. Nor at either of the Edinburgh junior runs.

Oh, I will be working not too far away from Hannover the week after it starts. My ability to not drink too much the night before and get a train early on the Saturday will be tested

I nearly had a calendar fail. I woke up and decided against Eastville inaugural as I have a feeling it might attract a big attendance with all the surrounding parkruns. I have decided to wait a few weeks. So I diverted. Of course I then discover its starting next week. That was close....
