Doesn't look like it is catgeorised under North West England. It now has a parkrun page and isn't showing on the UK events map. parkrun.org.uk

I doubt whether the Black Combe results will appear as results in a normal way and get recorded against athlete's profiles in a normal way.

I can imagine that some participants wouldn't want anyone able to look at their parkrun record in a couple of years time to see that they did "6 months at Black Combe parkrun".

Imagine the frustration of falling a couple of seconds short of your PB, the Saturday before release.

Will be interesting to see how they record the attendance, as looks like will also include staff members, and potentially occasionally visiting family members.

Now on the map and listed under NW England - joking aside, this sounds to me like a positive initiative and I wish it well

Seems like a brilliant idea to me. If this works well enough maybe it could be rolled out to young offenders institutions too?

It could be a really good thing for those involved and I really hope it is successful.

That's enough serious positive attitude stuff.

Question is - who will be the first to get a Tribesport top with Black Combe on it?

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
