Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I need more practice getting them on and off the pack, that's the bit I struggle with -

The other issue with them is that when you want them to help with a long uphill that's generally when you want a free hand to eat with.

I didn't take my poles today and did miss them.

Not for added mechnical advantage but for balance.

Three Wainwrights visited from Braithwaite to the stile by the woods near Buttermere and back by UTLD100 route.

All three Wainwrights I had to myself: Eel Crags, Wandope and Whiteless Pike.

Last long-ish run banked, that included getting stung by a bee around 4.7 miles.

Maybe I will up the intensity, but volume will be reduced as I hope to get to the day in a relaxed uninjured state.

Good work FR, always great to know its time to wind down for the race.

I'm on my last big run aswell this weekend with 15/30/15. Was supposed to be in the lakes but unforeseen circumstances put paid to that. Didn't fancy doing the travel and doing out and backs going myself.

Even got my solid cup now for the mandatory kit 😉

Having got myself wet and cold on Baystones this week, I'm now trying to work out what extra clothing to take to wear rather than carrying "for emergencies"

I also need to work out how to persuade myself to put extra on when I need it
