The gym I used to go to is also nominated for the National Fitness Awards - I don't know which category. I do miss it!

I have leather gloves for weightlifting. I think I bought them at Sports Direct when I had a gym membership in Bangor and did more lifting. My former employer used to sponsor us to go to the gym, got a 25% discount.

Excellent news on great gyms!
I looked at a PAYG gym session to see how heavy I can lift before buying new weights …. £7:70 max 1hr seems a lot sure it’s was just £5 last year

So today I did… have added some comments …. Any comments from you guys?

Think that 20kg set maybe a good idea but not sure if I’ll benefit from the kettle bell 🤔

3x15 5kg dB
Biceps curls … could probably do more seeing as I’m doing 15 reps

Side bends (not sure why I do these!)
Shoulder shrugs

3x15
1kg ankle weights leg extension .. sit on chair and go from straight leg to tucked under as far as possible not sure how to make this tougher

Purple band abductor … this is medium I will try the hardest level. Do these seated on chair maybe doing as lying clams will make it harder?

3x15 2kg dB
Could go heavier but db go from 2 to 4kg which I think will be too hard
Fly
Lateral raise
Forward raise

3x15 4kg kettle bell triceps … no need to go heavier at 15 reps

3x10
10kg bar overhead press … weight about right

3x15
10kg bar deadlift …. too easy need to add weight

We are all different but once you know the moves and can do them with good form anything that's 3 sets of 15 and easy you can deffo go heavier.

Sorry Pix but that deadlift is silly! *winks* - you did SAY it was easy!

Yes the deadlift was easy But I know my legs are strong p, when in the gym I used to use the seated leg press at over 100kg

After a break I can go straight into deadlifting 30kg. (Currently using 38kg, at which sets of 6 reps feel quite sufficient so I'm not rushing to push it higher.)

I just clicked on this 'related' thread -the first page is quite interesting, and I imagine Lil was an W45 like you, Pix, back in 2015.
