What size would you be replicating, RD? I might be tempted to give your surplus pair a home if it isn't bigger than 4mm :)

How many baskets? SEVENTY! A few wrong clicks and I've spent the rest of this year's income. But it's kept me off eBay and I won't actually buy any of it tonight ... except maybe ... and ... and ...

It's also stopped me from getting any knitting done :(

i know, me too. i've realised i've spent the evening talking about knitting and trawling knitting sites but not actually knitting. v silly.

good sense has prevailed and i'm not going to buy the set - and they were 6mm v'rap so too big anyway :) i'll wait til morning and see if my friend still wants a set of 4mm too and then place an order.

hope good sense prevails chez v'rap (although not too much good sense, that would be very dull ;))

look forward to seeing them, girlie :)

right, last bit of knitting then off to bed.

night :)

Good sense would have prevailed here had I not blundered on to eBay and found a particular Mirasol range heftily discounted by a seller whose discounts come and go ... I don't need to buy 105 skeins, do I ... ;)

:-o

just put some photos of a blanket i knitted for a wedding present in the gallery. it wasn't quite all sewn up when i took it. and the colours were much better (my iphone has a crap camera) but it gives the idea. the star is one of the squares for the current project for a baby boy of a stars and stripes blanket for a single bed.

:-O

Knitting scares me... It reminds me of primary school... I could not knit, and the teacher bullying me about it made me very nervous, so my work was always very grybby and sweatty and really really tight, so I could not get the needle inbetween wool and other needle... :(

Oh dear, I am going to have nightmares now...

The blanket and the star are lovely, RD :)

Mirasol Lachiwa (cotton/linen) and Wach'i (cotton/silk - just looks lovely!). But I SO don't need any more of anything! Just need to get on with knitting with what I have. I need to free up some project-space because I owe someone a tea-cosy :)

I was really lucky in that my gran was endlessly patient with me and the needlework teacher at my primary school was a kind and gentle soul, though I had to be a bit sly at home because my mum didn't like me using her needles in case I bent them!
