oooh i'll have a look, although paypal and i aren't on speaking terms at the moment - or rather they and my bank aren't!

i love these needles, they really are more than just pretty. i swapped to bamboo quite a few years ago - i get hot hands with metal ones - i'm the same with pastry. then last year my friend (who is careful with money and doesn't pay premium prices unless she thinks it's worth it) recommended them and they are amazing. they're like silk. i'm thinking of asking for the interchangeable set of circular needles for christmas. and, of course, it doesn't harm that they're so pretty :)

lol at too busy for housework, spinkle.

ok, now i have lots of lovely sites to look at. this thread might be dangerous!

I have about 50 shopping baskets in progress and really need to take stock of what I actually have before buying any more.

I have a set of bamboo, but I don't feel brave enough to use them as they look really, well, pointy :-0.... I generally use my dear old Nan's needles - she was a professional knitter and taught me *reminisces*

That's why I keep my stash on Rav up to date - or I'd be buying everything.

Like I did earlier, d'oh......

tbh i think if you are happy with the needles you use then you may as well stick to them.

it was getting hot hands (i must have a very cold heart ;)) that made me look for an alternative.

and i just made the mistake of going on the meadow yarn site. they have sets of the straight needles. and i'd only be replicating one needle size. and i'm sure i can find a loving home for that size. oh dear lord, the temptation...
