Got any good chutney recipes spinkle? I bought a preserving book but haven't decided which to make yet. :)

Ooh Xmas crochet bits sounds fun. Seen some nice snowflake patterns I might make to hang about. Will need to get some sparkly wool for that! ;)

I've had loads of green tomatoes this year so I looked up a recipe online - some smallholder blog I think.

Then I jazzed it up with chillies, dried apricots and used cider vinegar. It's proper tangy and hot and scrumptious with a bit of cheddar.

So I'd say use a recipe and then tweak it to your personal taste. Makes your kitchen stink for a bit though.

Never used sparkly wool, is it quite scratchy?

I have received a fabulous parcel of yarn. Thanks, Nicki :) :) :)

It's shiny and metallic looking but soft as silk, and Tink wants to knit herself a hat with it. I have warned her that her first project will be a patch for a string vest.

I've got a spiced damson chutney recipe I intend to make this weekend. Off the internet somewhere!

Mini2 has taken a liking to the flower scarf, I might make myself one in a more neutral colour and let her borrow it. She wants to learn to crochet, she's trying a dc sample, but has managed to skip 3 stitches (out of 12!). Which makes a change from knitting where she tends to inadvertently increase.

My wool is sat at the post office for me to collect tomorrow. Thanks nicki! Xx

I've not used sparkly wool before either. Need to go investigate in a good wool shop. The internet not turning up much...!
