Mikuro
i don't know V'rap, I find all cross stitch very easy, methodical and relaxing so I can't comment! Last year I made two huge japanese figures, a samurai chap for me and a geisha for my sister (which I have yet to frame and give to her!!) and I found those very easy too. The only thing I don't get on with is french knots, can never get them quite right....... :P
Now I have finished that one I am looking through the book to find my next project (xmas gifts!) and can't decide between a pretty peacock and peonies for my gran or to make her a fan and lantern sampler......one of the other lovely projects....hmmm...
I am also planning on making a batch of jam and a batch of chutney for little gifts too. Lots of homemade gifts this year. :)

i love homemade gifts.

love the cross-stitch, mik. it's making me want to start again! i need more hours in the day.

i've started a beanie on a circular needle. not used them before - it's going to take a while to get used to having so little needle to hold on to.

got the pattern off a danish website via ravelry.

I do homemade chutney gifts. I have friends who are now addicted!!

OK, so I didn't actually stray onto the Wollmeise update frenzy and score myself a skein of this (LIE :-0): ravelry.com

I don't really do blue (too much the colour of Ipswich Town FC, you see - oh, and a *particular* political party) but I can handle turquoise. Hmmm, maybe a shawl.

I've finished my flower scarf, it was very quick to do. I like the way it's made up but unsure about the bright multicolouredness of it. It will need to be worn with something fairly plain!

Found a pattern for a bracelet that I thought mini2 might like, but made my first USA crochet mistake, the pattern started in USA sc then changed to dc, I did them all in UK dc, wondered why it didn't work that well!

I've also found all sorts of christmassy bits and bobs, which I might make and give to the school fair to sell.
