The lovely garments etc... I see on here are awesome! Just thought I would share mine with you here. I mentioned them on my blog and (despite my reservations about the quality of my work) a couple of other Fetchies thought they might be interesting for the forum. I made a crochet phone sock / pouch thingy for my new phone.

When my mum saw it she said she liked it so I made another one today to give as a gift for her.

I didn't follow a pattern so am quite pleased with the result.

Those phone socks are fab, Ness - particularly without pattern!

I find I just can't follow a crochet pattern, though. My gran taught me basic granny squares, very appropriately, but since that I've always had to play it by ear (or eye, I guess) because the patterns are pure gibberish 🤣

Thanks, Rae. I have followed a pattern in the past but they are more tricky than knitting patterns from what I recall. I made a set of crochet table mats for my mum when my hip problems immobilised me for a while when I was a teenager. Maybe I ought to try using a pattern again.

I’m not sure they’re trickier, just different. And seeing where to put the hook is sometimes the most difficult bit. Lots of patterns now have video tutorials which is really helpful.
