Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Can I ask some advice about the stitch that my v old Singer is making. The stitch on the top of the fabric looks ok. But under the fabric it’s like just a continuous thread rather than going in and out the fabric??

That’s the side that isn’t right?? I’ve tried altering the stitch length and tension on the needle thread
Tried re threading the bobbin ( I think I’ve got that right )

Any suggestions?

It looks like a tension thing, I know you've tried the tension, does it look the same no matter the tension?

Yes. I’m only altering the needle thread tension but it doesn’t seem to alter the result?

Loops underneath I think is tension too loose on the thread. Hence me saying try the tension max. What machine is it? Just going to have a look at the manual for you if I can

Thanks for your help with this Purps. Much appreciated

I haven’t turned tension to max..I will try that
It’s a Singer 348.

I’ve actually just got to pop out to check mum in law for the night...so apologies if I don’t respond tonight
