Refer Stef to Ravelry - www.ravelry.com - they have lots of free patterns there. I'm not sure how many of them are beanies, but there must be some.

Yes, loads on Ravelry. She’ll probably need to filter for ‘free’ and ‘crochet’ at least.

They’re pretty easy to crochet, it’s just a case of getting the diameter right as you increase the circle, then the length, but generally they’re made too down so can be tried on as you go

Just finished my second go at Girl Twin's chiffon shirt after the first one fell to pieces as soon as she put it on. It's been hideous to sew but I'm really quite pleased with it
