A simple snip under the arms has sorted out the pulling :)

What a beautiful child :)

Thanks V'rap I will fmail EP :)

The cardigan looks gorgeous... shame my tension using different colours is rubbish!

I've just googled steeking - I'd be far to terrified to do that!

One more question. I'm going to a introduction to crochet at the weekend and they recommend taking 4 and 5 mm crochet hooks. What size yarn should I take to match these hook sizes? Thanks :)

Yes I'd agree with DK and a size 4. My top tip for crochet is to keep relaxed and keep the loops loose, especially in the beginning. Enjoy!

I'm a bit worried to be honest. I've spent 30 minutes on youtube and I couldn't even do the first stitch/loop. My friend then tried to show me and spent five minutes shouting "relax your wrist" (I'm an uptight kind of a person :-o) I really don't want to be the only person who can't get on with it and then hold everyone else up.... but then again I don't know any other way I can learn how to do it because I'm clearly not smart enough to teach myself!!
