Perhaps your workmates are all in a secret Knit Club, Red Ant, and the First Rule of Knit Club is that you don't talk about Knit Club?

I dont! I was browsing the forums yesterday and came across a thread about a Danish Knit-off show (in the style of GBBO). It sounded popular, and there are a couple of episodes with subtitles apparently. One of the contestants made a knitted penis!

I have a friend who knits boobs for midwives to use for breast feeding demonstrations.

Maybe the penis could be used for sex ed :)

I must try and find that show. I heart Bake Off and Sewing Bee :)

Her reason for knitting the penis was because her husband is trans and so she was well aware of trans men 'missing' certain parts. The theme that week was charitable knots for a cause close to your heart.

I just can't see how people could knit fast enough to take part in that type of show!

hello ladies, I've not posted on here for ages, but have been crocheting away, 2 blankets competed and 2 baby jumpers made (hopefully the last one actually fits him!!!)

Anyway I am in need of your help and knowledge...... I have been asked to crochet a cardigan for my mother-in-law and she has chosen a yarn with teeny tiny sequins in it. It is crocheting ok (lets not go into the fact that I had to frog the first sleeve 5 times before I got it right, but that was more down to my stupid fault that the pattern and yarn!!!) but how do I sew it up? Do you suggest I try and use the yarn or do I just use normal sewing thread? I'm just not sure how it will sew up with the sequins.

Berry, if it crochets OK I'd have thought it would work for sewing up too - or could you crochet the seams together? (I know that might be tricky depending on construction.)

I'd have thought it would be difficult to sew with sequins on the yarn. Either slip stitch together or use a similar thickness/colour yarn if you have one?
