My moment of joy came when a red squirrel ran across the path on my dog walk today.

A Rae in a manger
There were several moments when the rain stopped and the sun came out, and the painkillers were doing their thing, and work was genuinely pleasant today, so that's a joy. And sunrise was quite pretty, even though it was damp. I also saw a very dark red squirrel, which was nice.

I visited a school today and as part of the checking in process a machine takes your picture for your ID badge while on the premises. A kid looked at my badge and said - 'that picture was taken when you were really young wasn't it.' (I just replied that I was 'a little younger' when it was taken without going into detail that it was only 20 minutes ago!)

I will go and find the joyuary challenge thanks PostivelySian.
We went out for a couple of drinks with my parents last night, we proper belly laughed at a few things and for once having a conversation with my mum she actually listened engaged and didn't get judgy/opinionated - result.
To think a year ago my dad had a breakdown and its took until late summer to get the medication sorted and him to be back on reasonable form.... to see him relaxed and happy and planning a holiday in the sun was extremely joyous

Watching my 4 month old grandson kick and splash in the bath last night. He was giggling and gurgling away too - he just loves it.
