Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yesterday's joy - someone other than me bought the biscuits for the office!

Today - seeing our Regional Ambassador at our parkrun -I am always nervous when he turns up and I am RD but all went smoothly and without incident so that's joy and relief in equal measure.

We dechristmassed today (not joyful, but the tree certainly wasn't going to make it to Candlemas), and how the living room (or, living room bit of the single living-dining-kitchen room that is nearly the whole ground floor, to be more precise) feels huge.

Huger, even, than just before Christmas, because we gave away one big piece of furniture we didn't really need or want any more to make space for the tree, so it feels a bit like we've completely redecorated.

Today’s joy came from meeting my mam for 5m of my long run. Sun shining, blue skies and good banter.

About This Thread

As the arse end of the year is generally miserable, and to my mind is not improved by resolving to deny oneself one's greatest pleasures, I've decided to set myself a different new challenge: to find out create a moment of joy every day and record it - mostly in a Facebook group that a friend of mine set up several years ago for 'Fabruary', but I thought there might be a few Fetchies who would enjoy the concept too.

My idea is that moments of joy can come in all sizes - an...
