I saw on your blog you did 11 miles in total - was clearly excellent fuel carpathius!

Rory, you the boss and all, but you're outvoted on this one I'm afraid!

Maybe you can all compromise on "short hill"?

It isn't all that short though - especially coming up from the very bottom on the second go round! It's cunningly deceptive. Besides, Rory is allergic to the H word.

When they had it in as a Tour of Britain 'King of the Mountains' finish the other year it breached the trades description act (admittedly that was the middle path, not the right hand one). For Ipswich it's a hill, but it feels shorter and steeper to me than Bolton Lane/Westerfield Road or the Bridleway.
As the half marathon is going to be two laps next year and it is going to start and finish in the park I am not expecting a pb friendly course.

Apparently the Ipswich Half will be changing course this year, not next. It's a shame, I wanted to do the old route!
And yes, it's only really a Hill as far as Ipswich is concerned but that's because it's Suffolk which is pretty flat. At least it's not as bad as Station Street - or Devonshire Road.

I'm not allergic to the word, we just don't have one However, I am willing to concede that it is a long bump.
Ipswich Half is changing this year to a two lapper
