I'm actually looking forward to the new route. Having run Ipswich the past 2 years, I find the bits out Whitton way a bit dull and lacking in support. Hopefully the new route, being more compact, and focused in and around the town, will have a bit more 'buzz' about it.

I'll be interested to see the new ipswich half route, not sure how I feel about doing a 2 laps over a I imagine it will be much easier to marshall though as they need 120 marshall for the previous route!! I found it a really tough race last year but I wonder how many hills there will be in this years race?! It would be quite nice if it takes in the waterfront...

An uneducated guess, but I am not expecting the route to through town as the roads would need to be shut all morning. Constitution Hill would be quiet on a Sunday morning!

Just heard a really nice feature about Ipswich Parkrun on BBC Radio Suffolk - just before the news at half six if anyone wants to listen again to it......

Thanks for the plug Baroness - They managed to interview our youngest runner (age 5) and our eldest (age 80). The show can be found at bbc.co.uk (fast forward to 26:15 m- the link is available until Monday 22nd April) Nothing from the ED either as I was at the Huntingdon inaugural which allowed another one of the core team to have their very deserved moment in the spot light. |

Looking forward to tomorrow, hopefully it won't be raining too hard. On a separate note I have just seen the provisional route for the half! events.ipswichjaffa.org.uk I was joking when I said Constitution Hill would be quiet on Sunday morning, it's a confusing route. |
